Crispy Double Bacon Cheeseburger Delight
Pan-seared lean beef patties topped with sharp cheddar and crispy bacon, served in fresh lettuce wraps for a satisfyingly crunchy bite.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz ground beef (93% lean)
2 slice center-cut bacon
1 slice sharp cheddar cheese
2 large butter lettuce leaves
2 slice tomato
1 slice red onion
2 slice dill pickles
1 tbsp yellow mustard
0 tsp extra virgin olive oil
0.25 tsp sea salt
0.25 tsp black pepper
PREPARATION
Place the bacon slices in a cold skillet and turn the heat to medium, cooking until the fat has rendered and the bacon is crispy.
Remove the bacon from the skillet and let it drain on a paper towel.
Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and form them into thin, even patties.
Season both sides of each patty with sea salt and black pepper.
Wipe out most of the bacon grease from the skillet, add the olive oil, and return to medium-high heat.
Sear the beef patties for about 3 to 4 minutes per side until a golden crust forms.
Place half a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover the pan briefly to melt.
Lay out the butter lettuce leaves as your base and stack the cheeseburger patties on top.
Layer on the crispy bacon, tomato slices, red onion, and pickles.
Drizzle with yellow mustard and fold the lettuce over to serve.
