Crispy Pan-Seared Pork Dumplings
Pan-seared ground pork and cabbage dumplings cooked until they reach a golden-brown finish, served with a splash of tamari for a satisfying crunch.
INGREDIENTS
8 oz Ground pork
4 whole Dumpling wrappers
0.5 cup Green cabbage
1 tsp Fresh ginger
1 clove Garlic
1 tbsp Tamari
1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
1 tbsp Green onions
PREPARATION
In a medium bowl, combine the ground pork, shredded cabbage, minced ginger, minced garlic, sea salt, and black pepper, mixing until well incorporated.
Place a small spoonful of the pork mixture into the center of each dumpling wrapper.
Moisten the edges of the wrappers with water, fold them in half, and pinch the edges tightly to seal.
Heat the toasted sesame oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Place the dumplings in the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden and crispy.
Carefully pour 2 tablespoons of water into the pan and immediately cover with a lid to steam for 5-6 minutes until the pork is cooked through.
Remove the lid and allow any remaining water to evaporate to re-crisp the bottoms.
Serve immediately topped with sliced green onions and a side of tamari for dipping.
