Crispy Sesame-Ginger Chicken Fried Rice
Sautéed chicken and chilled brown rice are wok-fired with aromatic ginger and toasted sesame oil for a savory, golden-brown finish.
INGREDIENTS
4.5 oz Chicken breast
0.5 cup Cooked brown rice
1 large Egg
0.25 cup Peas
0.25 cup Carrots
1 tsp Sesame oil
1 tsp Avocado oil
1 tbsp Tamari
1 tsp Ginger
1 clove Garlic
1 stalk Green onion
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Dice the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and season with sea salt and black pepper.
Heat avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Add the chicken to the pan and sear until golden-brown and cooked through, then remove and set aside.
Lower heat to medium and add toasted sesame oil, then sauté the carrots, peas, ginger, and garlic until fragrant.
Push the vegetables to one side of the pan, crack the egg into the empty space, and scramble until fully set.
Stir in the chilled brown rice, seared chicken, and tamari, tossing everything together to combine.
Press the rice mixture into the pan and let it cook undisturbed for 2 minutes to develop a crispy texture.
Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.
