Smoky Grilled Beef & Cheddar Burgers
Juicy lean beef patties grilled with smoky spices and topped with sharp melted cheddar, served on a toasted bun for a savory and satisfying bite.
INGREDIENTS
8 oz 93% Lean ground beef
0.5 oz Sharp cheddar cheese
0 whole Whole wheat bun
1 leaf Romaine lettuce
1 slice Tomato
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
0.5 tsp Smoked paprika
0.25 tsp Garlic powder
0 tsp Extra virgin olive oil
PREPARATION
Pre-heat a grill or cast-iron skillet to medium-high heat.
In a medium bowl, combine the lean ground beef with smoked paprika, garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper.
Gently form the beef into a thick patty, making a small indentation in the center with your thumb to prevent bulging while cooking.
Lightly brush the grill grates or skillet with the extra virgin olive oil.
Place the patty on the heat and grill for 4-5 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.
During the last minute of cooking, place the sharp cheddar cheese on top of the patty and cover with a lid to melt.
Place the whole wheat bun halves on the grill for 30-60 seconds until lightly toasted and golden.
Assemble the burger by placing the lettuce and tomato on the bottom bun, followed by the cheesy beef patty and the top bun.
