Sesame Beef Stir-Fry with Fried Egg
Lean ground beef sautéed with crisp broccoli and aromatic ginger, served over warm rice with a silky fried egg on top.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Ground beef (93% lean)
0.25 cup Cooked brown rice
1 cup Broccoli florets
1 large Egg
1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
1 tbsp Tamari
1 tsp Fresh ginger
1 clove Garlic
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp Sesame seeds
1 tbsp Green onion
PREPARATION
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula until browned and cooked through.
Stir in the minced garlic, grated ginger, sea salt, and black pepper, cooking for 1 minute until the aromatics are fragrant.
Add the broccoli florets and tamari to the skillet, then cover with a lid to steam for 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is tender-crisp.
Push the beef and broccoli mixture to one side of the skillet and add the toasted sesame oil to the empty side.
Crack the egg into the oil and fry until the whites are fully set but the yolk remains runny, approximately 2-3 minutes.
Place the warm cooked brown rice in a serving bowl and top it with the beef and broccoli stir-fry.
Carefully slide the fried egg on top of the beef and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
