Pan-Seared Pork Chops with Apples
Pan-seared pork chops topped with warm cinnamon-spiced apples and served with steamed green beans for a savory-sweet crunch.
INGREDIENTS
8 oz Pork loin chop
1 tsp Avocado oil
0.5 medium Granny Smith apple
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
0.25 tsp Ground cinnamon
1 sprig Fresh rosemary
1 cup Green beans
1 tbsp Water
PREPARATION
Season both sides of the pork chop with sea salt and black pepper.
Heat avocado oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Place the pork chop in the skillet and sear for 4 to 5 minutes per side until a golden crust forms and the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
Remove the pork from the pan and let it rest on a plate to keep the juices intact.
In the same skillet, add the sliced apples, rosemary sprig, and ground cinnamon.
Pour in the water to deglaze the pan and sauté the apples for 3 to 4 minutes until they are softened and fragrant.
While apples cook, steam the green beans in a separate pot for 5 minutes until tender-crisp.
Serve the pork chop topped with the warm apple mixture alongside the steamed green beans.
