PREPARATION
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the chickpea penne according to package directions until al dente.
While pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the sliced Italian chicken sausage.
Brown the sausage for 5-6 minutes until golden, then add the broccoli florets and minced garlic to the pan.
