Sesame Beef & Broccoli Stir-Fry
Sautéed flank steak and crisp broccoli florets tossed in a savory ginger-garlic sauce, served over a bed of fluffy rice with a toasted sesame finish.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Flank steak
2 cups Broccoli florets
0.25 cup Cooked brown rice
1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
2 tbsp Coconut aminos
1 tsp Minced fresh ginger
1 clove Minced garlic
1 tsp Sesame seeds
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp Avocado oil
PREPARATION
Slice the flank steak thinly against the grain into bite-sized strips.
In a small bowl, whisk together the coconut aminos, minced ginger, and minced garlic to create the stir-fry sauce.
Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Add the beef strips to the pan in a single layer, seasoning with sea salt and black pepper, and sear for 2 minutes until browned.
Add the broccoli florets and a tablespoon of water to the pan, then cover with a lid for 2 minutes to steam the broccoli until bright green and tender-crisp.
Remove the lid, pour the sauce over the beef and broccoli, and toss for 1 minute until the sauce thickens slightly and coats everything.
Stir in the toasted sesame oil and remove from heat.
Serve the stir-fry over the cooked brown rice and garnish with sesame seeds.
