Double Bacon Cheeseburger with Zesty Secret Sauce
Pan-seared grass-fed beef patties layered with sharp cheddar and crispy bacon, wrapped in fresh butter lettuce for a satisfyingly cool crunch.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Ground beef (93% lean)
2 slice Center-cut bacon
0.75 oz Sharp cheddar cheese
2 large Butter lettuce leaves
0.25 cup Nonfat Greek yogurt
1 tbsp Sugar-free ketchup
1 tsp Yellow mustard
1 tbsp Finely diced pickles
0.25 tsp Garlic powder
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
In a small bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, sugar-free ketchup, mustard, and diced pickles to create the secret sauce.
Season the ground beef with garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper, then form into two equal 3-ounce patties.
Place the bacon slices in a cold skillet and turn the heat to medium, cooking until crispy, then remove and drain on a paper towel.
In the same skillet with the rendered bacon fat, sear the beef patties for 3 to 4 minutes per side until fully cooked.
Place the cheddar cheese on top of the patties during the last minute of cooking and cover the pan briefly to melt.
Lay the butter lettuce leaves flat, place the double patties in the center, top with bacon and secret sauce, and wrap the lettuce tightly around the burger.
