PREPARATION
In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped fresh dill, sea salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
Place the salmon fillet and trimmed asparagus spears on a large plate or tray and brush both sides generously with the herb marinade.
Preheat a grill or cast-iron grill pan over medium-high heat until it is hot and lightly smoking.
