Soy-Glazed Salmon with Ginger Rice
Pan-seared salmon glazed in a savory tamari-ginger reduction served over aromatic, fluffy ginger-infused jasmine rice.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Salmon fillet
0.5 cup Cooked jasmine rice
1 tbsp Tamari
1 tsp Honey
1 tsp Sesame oil
1 tsp Fresh ginger
1 clove Garlic
1 stalk Green onion
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Prepare the jasmine rice according to package instructions, stirring in half of the grated ginger once cooked to infuse.
In a small bowl, whisk together the tamari, honey, remaining ginger, and minced garlic to create the glaze.
Season the salmon fillet with sea salt and black pepper on both sides.
Heat sesame oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Place the salmon in the skillet skin-side up and sear for 4 minutes until a golden crust forms.
Flip the salmon and pour the glaze into the pan, allowing it to bubble and thicken for 3 minutes while spooning it over the fish.
Serve the glazed salmon over the warm ginger rice and garnish with sliced green onions.
