Baked Protein Donuts with Greek Yogurt Glaze
Soft oat-based donuts baked with vanilla protein and finished with a creamy, protein-packed Greek yogurt glaze that is perfectly sweet and tangy.
INGREDIENTS
2/3 cup Oat Flour
1/2 scoop Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
2 tablespoons Liquid Egg Whites
1/2 cup Non-fat Greek Yogurt
1 tablespoon Pure Maple Syrup
1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/4 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly spray a donut pan with non-stick cooking spray.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the oat flour, vanilla protein powder, baking powder, and cinnamon until well combined.
Add the egg whites, 1/4 cup of the Greek yogurt, and half of the maple syrup to the dry ingredients, stirring until a smooth batter forms.
Transfer the batter into a piping bag or a plastic bag with the corner snipped off and pipe the mixture evenly into the donut pan cavities.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the donuts are firm to the touch and a toothpick comes out clean.
While the donuts cool, prepare the glaze by whisking the remaining 1/4 cup of Greek yogurt and the rest of the maple syrup in a small bowl.
Once the donuts have cooled completely, dip the top of each donut into the yogurt glaze and serve immediately.
