Honey-Glazed Char Siu Pork
Tender pork tenderloin roasted in a savory-sweet five-spice glaze, served with crisp bok choy and cauliflower rice for a vibrant, protein-packed meal.
INGREDIENTS
8 oz pork tenderloin
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp tamari
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
0.5 tsp five-spice powder
1 tsp minced ginger
1 clove minced garlic
2 cups cauliflower rice
2 cups baby bok choy
0.25 tsp sea salt
0.25 tsp black pepper
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, tamari, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, five-spice powder, minced ginger, and minced garlic until smooth.
Season the pork tenderloin with sea salt and black pepper, then place it in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, turning to coat all sides.
Transfer the pork to the prepared baking sheet and roast for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F, brushing with any extra marinade halfway through.
While the pork is roasting, lightly steam the cauliflower rice and baby bok choy in a steamer basket over boiling water for 5-7 minutes until tender.
Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing into thin medallions.
Serve the sliced char siu pork over the steamed cauliflower rice with the bok choy on the side.
