Pan-Seared Steak with Garlic Butter
Tender top sirloin steak pan-seared to perfection and basted with a succulent garlic-infused butter for a rich, animal-based feast.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz top sirloin steak
1.5 tbsp grass-fed butter
1 clove garlic
0.5 tsp sea salt
PREPARATION
Remove the steak from the refrigerator 20 minutes before cooking to bring it to room temperature.
Pat the steak completely dry with paper towels and season all sides generously with sea salt.
Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until it is very hot but not smoking.
Place the steak in the dry skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes per side until a deep golden crust forms.
Reduce the heat to medium and add the grass-fed butter and smashed garlic clove to the pan.
Tilt the pan slightly and use a spoon to continuously pour the melting garlic butter over the steak for 2 minutes.
Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest on a cutting board for at least 5 minutes before slicing to retain the juices.
