Classic Carnival Corn Dogs
Air-fried chicken sausages coated in a crispy, golden cornmeal batter for a nostalgic carnival treat that stays light and satisfying.
INGREDIENTS
2 links Organic chicken sausages
3 tbsp Yellow cornmeal
2 tbsp Oat flour
0.25 cup Non-fat Greek yogurt
1 large Egg white
0.5 tsp Baking powder
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Garlic powder
1 tsp Avocado oil
1 tbsp Yellow mustard
PREPARATION
Pat the chicken sausages dry with a paper towel and insert a wooden skewer into the center of each link.
In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the yellow cornmeal, oat flour, baking powder, sea salt, and garlic powder.
Stir in the Greek yogurt and egg white until a thick, smooth batter forms that will cling to the sausage.
Transfer the batter to a tall, narrow glass and dip each sausage until it is completely submerged and evenly coated.
Lightly brush the air fryer basket with avocado oil to prevent sticking and place the corn dogs inside without touching each other.
Air fry at 375°F for 10 to 12 minutes, rotating once halfway through, until the exterior is beautifully browned and firm.
Serve the warm corn dogs immediately with a side of yellow mustard for dipping.
