Sesame Tofu and Broccoli Stir-Fry
Crispy pan-seared tofu and vibrant broccoli florets tossed in a savory sesame-ginger glaze for a satisfying crunch in every bite.
INGREDIENTS
12 oz Extra firm tofu
0.5 cup Shelled edamame
2 cup Broccoli florets
1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
1 tbsp Tamari
1 tsp Rice vinegar
1 tsp Maple syrup
1 tsp Fresh ginger
1 clove Garlic
1 tsp Sesame seeds
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp Avocado oil
PREPARATION
Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut into 1-inch cubes.
In a small bowl, whisk together tamari, rice vinegar, maple syrup, grated ginger, and minced garlic to create the stir-fry sauce.
Heat avocado oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and sear the tofu cubes until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
Add the broccoli florets and shelled edamame to the skillet with a splash of water, covering for 2 minutes to steam-tenderize the vegetables.
Remove the lid and pour the sauce over the tofu and vegetables, tossing constantly for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.
Remove from heat, drizzle with toasted sesame oil, and garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
