Sesame Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry
Flash-seared flank steak and crisp broccoli florets are tossed in a savory ginger-garlic sauce and finished with a nutty sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds.
INGREDIENTS
5.5 oz Flank steak
2 cup Broccoli
1 tsp Sesame oil
1 tsp Avocado oil
2 tbsp Coconut aminos
1 tsp Honey
1 tsp Ginger
2 clove Garlic
1 tsp Sesame seeds
0.25 cup Brown rice
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Slice the flank steak against the grain into thin strips and season evenly with sea salt and black pepper.
In a small glass bowl, whisk together the coconut aminos, honey, and sesame oil until the honey is fully dissolved.
Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until it begins to shimmer.
Add the beef strips to the hot pan in a single layer and sear for 2 minutes until browned, then transfer to a plate.
Add the broccoli florets to the same skillet with a tablespoon of water and cover for 2 minutes to steam-sauté.
Remove the lid and stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for 30 seconds until the aromatics are fragrant.
Return the beef and any accumulated juices to the pan and pour the sauce over the mixture.
Toss everything together for 1 minute until the sauce coats the beef and serve over warm brown rice garnished with sesame seeds.
