Sesame Tofu Stir-Fry with Broccoli
Crispy pan-seared tofu and vibrant broccoli florets are tossed in a savory ginger-sesame glaze for a protein-packed meal with a satisfying crunch.
INGREDIENTS
12 oz Firm tofu
2 cup Broccoli florets
0.5 cup Shelled edamame
1 tbsp Tamari
1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
1 tsp Rice vinegar
1 tsp Fresh ginger
1 clove Garlic
0.25 tsp Red pepper flakes
1 tsp Sesame seeds
1 tsp Avocado oil
2 tbsp Water
PREPARATION
Drain the tofu and press it between paper towels for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut into 1-inch cubes.
In a small bowl, whisk together the tamari, toasted sesame oil, rice vinegar, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes to create the stir-fry sauce.
Heat the avocado oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and sear the tofu cubes for 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy on all sides.
Add the broccoli florets, shelled edamame, and minced garlic to the skillet with the water, then cover and steam for 3 minutes until the broccoli is bright green.
Remove the lid, pour the sauce over the tofu and vegetables, and toss continuously for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.
Transfer the stir-fry to a bowl and garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
