PREPARATION
Heat half of the olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are soft and deep golden brown, about 15 minutes.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, coconut aminos, garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined to avoid overworking the meat.
Form the turkey mixture into two even patties, approximately 4oz each. Use your thumb to make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to ensure even cooking.
