Sesame Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry
Thinly sliced flank steak seared with crisp broccoli florets in a savory ginger-garlic sauce, finished with a sprinkle of nutty toasted sesame seeds.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz Flank steak
1.5 cup Broccoli florets
1 tbsp Tamari
1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
1 tsp Fresh ginger
1 clove Garlic
0.5 tsp Arrowroot powder
1 tsp Sesame seeds
1 tsp Avocado oil
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Slice the flank steak against the grain into very thin strips and season with sea salt and black pepper.
In a small bowl, whisk together the tamari, toasted sesame oil, minced ginger, minced garlic, and arrowroot powder until smooth.
Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Add the beef strips in a single layer and sear for 2 minutes until browned, then remove from the pan and set aside.
Add the broccoli florets to the same pan with 2 tablespoons of water, cover, and steam for 3 minutes until vibrant green and tender-crisp.
Return the beef to the pan and pour the sauce over the mixture, tossing constantly for 1 minute until the sauce thickens and coats everything.
Garnish with toasted sesame seeds before serving hot.
