Sesame Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry
Thinly sliced flank steak and crisp broccoli florets are flash-seared in a savory ginger-garlic sauce for a vibrant and satisfying meal.
INGREDIENTS
5.25 oz Flank steak
2 cups Broccoli florets
0.75 tbsp Avocado oil
2 tbsp Coconut aminos
1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
1 tsp Fresh ginger
2 cloves Garlic
1 tsp Sesame seeds
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Slice the flank steak against the grain into thin strips and season evenly with sea salt and black pepper.
Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat until it begins to shimmer.
Add the beef strips in a single layer and sear for 2 minutes until deeply browned, then remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
Add the broccoli florets to the same pan with a small splash of water, then cover with a lid for 2 minutes to steam-fry until tender-crisp.
Remove the lid and stir in the minced garlic and fresh ginger, cooking for 30 seconds until the aromatics are fragrant.
Return the beef to the pan and pour in the coconut aminos and toasted sesame oil.
Toss all ingredients together for 1 minute until the sauce reduces slightly and coats the beef and broccoli beautifully.
Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately while hot.
