Sesame Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry
Thinly sliced flank steak and crisp broccoli florets are flash-seared in a hot wok with aromatic ginger and garlic for a savory, umami-rich finish.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Flank steak
2 cup Broccoli florets
0.25 tbsp Avocado oil
1 tbsp Coconut aminos
0.5 tsp Toasted sesame oil
1 tsp Fresh ginger
1 clove Garlic
0.5 tsp Sesame seeds
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Slice the flank steak against the grain into thin strips and season evenly with sea salt and black pepper.
Mince the garlic clove and finely grate the fresh ginger.
Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until it begins to shimmer.
Add the steak strips in a single layer and sear for approximately 2 minutes until browned, then remove the beef from the pan and set it aside.
Add the broccoli florets to the same pan with a splash of water, covering with a lid for 2 minutes to steam-fry until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
Return the cooked beef to the pan and stir in the minced garlic, grated ginger, coconut aminos, and toasted sesame oil.
Toss all ingredients together for 1 minute until the sauce is well-combined and coats the beef and broccoli.
Transfer to a plate and garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
