Sesame Tofu and Broccoli Stir-Fry
Pan-seared tofu and vibrant broccoli florets tossed in a savory ginger-sesame glaze for a satisfyingly crunchy and protein-packed meal.
INGREDIENTS
10 oz Extra firm tofu
1 cup Shelled edamame
1.5 cups Broccoli florets
1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
1 tbsp Tamari
1 tsp Rice vinegar
1 tsp Fresh ginger
1 clove Garlic
1 tsp Toasted sesame seeds
0.25 tsp Red pepper flakes
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut into 1-inch cubes.
Season the tofu cubes evenly with sea salt and black pepper.
Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add the toasted sesame oil.
Add the tofu cubes to the pan, searing until golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
Add the broccoli florets and shelled edamame to the skillet with a splash of water, covering for 2 minutes to steam-tenderize the vegetables.
In a small bowl, whisk together the tamari, rice vinegar, grated ginger, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes.
Pour the sauce over the tofu and vegetables, tossing constantly for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats all ingredients.
Garnish with toasted sesame seeds before serving hot.
