PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a small baking sheet with parchment paper.
Trim the woody ends off the asparagus and toss them on the baking sheet with half of the olive oil, minced fresh garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
Season the chicken breast evenly on both sides with the garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper.
Heat the remaining olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until a golden crust forms.
Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese over the top of the chicken breast.
