Sesame Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry
Sautéed lean flank steak and crisp broccoli florets are tossed in a savory ginger-garlic sauce for a vibrant, nutrient-dense meal.
INGREDIENTS
8 oz Grass-fed flank steak
2 cups Broccoli florets
0.5 cup Red bell pepper
1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
2 tbsp Tamari
1 tsp Fresh ginger
2 cloves Garlic
1 tsp Sesame seeds
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
0.5 tbsp Avocado oil
PREPARATION
Slice the flank steak against the grain into very thin strips and season evenly with sea salt and black pepper.
In a small glass bowl, whisk together the tamari, toasted sesame oil, grated fresh ginger, and minced garlic to create the stir-fry sauce.
Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until it begins to shimmer.
Add the beef strips in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes until browned and caramelized, then remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
Add the broccoli florets and sliced red bell pepper to the same pan with a tablespoon of water; cover with a lid for 2 minutes to steam-tenderize the vegetables.
Remove the lid, return the beef to the pan, and pour the prepared sauce over the mixture.
Toss everything together for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and creates a glossy coating over the beef and vegetables.
Transfer to a plate and garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
