Teriyaki-Glazed Salmon with Roasted Asparagus
Oven-roasted salmon fillet brushed with a savory-sweet ginger glaze and served alongside crisp-tender asparagus spears for a vibrant, nutrient-dense meal.
INGREDIENTS
6.5 oz Salmon fillet
1 cup Asparagus spears
1 tsp Olive oil
1 tbsp Tamari
0.5 tsp Honey
0.5 tsp Fresh ginger
1 clove Garlic
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
0.5 tsp Sesame seeds
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the tamari, honey, grated fresh ginger, and minced garlic to create the teriyaki glaze.
Place the salmon fillet on one side of the prepared baking sheet and the trimmed asparagus spears on the other side.
Drizzle the olive oil over the asparagus and season with the sea salt and black pepper, tossing the spears to ensure they are evenly coated.
Brush approximately half of the prepared teriyaki glaze over the top and sides of the salmon fillet.
Roast in the center of the oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the asparagus is tender and slightly browned.
Remove the sheet pan from the oven and immediately brush the remaining glaze over the hot salmon fillet.
Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the salmon and asparagus before serving warm.
