Teriyaki Glazed Salmon with Roasted Asparagus
Pan-seared salmon finished with a sticky ginger-tamari glaze, served alongside tender oven-roasted asparagus for a vibrant and savory meal.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz Salmon fillet
1 cup Asparagus spears
1 tbsp Tamari
1 tsp Honey
1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
0.5 tsp Fresh ginger
1 clove Garlic
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp Avocado oil
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a small baking sheet with parchment paper.
Trim the woody ends off the asparagus and toss the spears with avocado oil, sea salt, and black pepper on the prepared sheet.
Roast the asparagus for 12 to 15 minutes until tender and slightly charred.
While the vegetables roast, whisk together the tamari, honey, toasted sesame oil, grated fresh ginger, and minced garlic in a small bowl.
Season the salmon fillet with a tiny pinch of salt and sear in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat for 4 minutes on the first side.
Flip the salmon, pour the tamari mixture into the pan, and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes while spooning the glaze over the fish as it thickens.
Plate the glazed salmon immediately alongside the roasted asparagus and drizzle any remaining pan sauce over the top.
