Pan-Seared Steak with Garlic Sticky Rice
Tender top sirloin pan-seared to a juicy medium-rare, served alongside aromatic garlic-infused sticky rice and crisp-tender baby bok choy.
INGREDIENTS
5.5 oz Top sirloin steak
0.5 cup Cooked white sticky rice
2 cloves Garlic
1 tsp Avocado oil
1 tsp Ghee
1 cup Baby bok choy
1 tbsp Coconut aminos
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Pat the steak dry with a paper towel and season both sides evenly with sea salt and black pepper.
Heat avocado oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until the oil is shimmering.
Place the steak in the hot skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, then transfer to a plate to rest for 5 minutes.
In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the ghee and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant and golden.
Add the chopped baby bok choy and coconut aminos to the skillet, sautéing for 2 minutes until the greens are slightly wilted.
Fold the cooked sticky rice into the garlic and bok choy mixture until well combined and heated through.
Slice the rested steak against the grain and serve over the warm garlic sticky rice.
