Seared Steak with Garlic Herb Quinoa and Roasted Asparagus
Pan-seared top sirloin served with fluffy garlic-herb quinoa and roasted asparagus, finished with a dollop of savory herb butter.
INGREDIENTS
7.5 oz Top Sirloin Steak
1 cup Cooked Quinoa
150g Asparagus
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tsp Grass-fed Butter
2 cloves Garlic
1 tbsp Fresh Parsley
PREPARATION
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Toss the asparagus with half of the olive oil, salt, and pepper on a large baking sheet.
Roast the asparagus for 12-15 minutes until tender and slightly charred.
While the asparagus roasts, heat the remaining olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
Season the steak generously with salt and pepper, then sear for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes.
In a small bowl, mash the butter with minced garlic and finely chopped parsley.
Fluff the warm cooked quinoa with a fork and stir in half of the garlic-herb butter.
Slice the steak against the grain and top with the remaining savory herb butter before serving.
