Chicken Marinara Pasta with Fresh Herbs
Pan-seared chicken breast and al dente pasta tossed in a rich, velvety marinara sauce infused with fragrant fresh basil and garlic.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Boneless skinless chicken breast
2 oz Dry pasta noodles
0.5 cup Marinara sauce
1 tsp Extra virgin olive oil
1 clove Garlic
2 tbsp Fresh basil
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta noodles according to package directions until al dente.
While pasta cooks, season the chicken breast with sea salt and black pepper on both sides.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove chicken from the skillet, let it rest for 3 minutes, then slice into bite-sized strips.
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant, then pour in the marinara sauce to warm through.
Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet along with the sliced chicken, tossing well to coat everything in the sauce.
Garnish with freshly chopped basil before serving.
