Sesame Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry
Lean flank steak strips seared with crisp broccoli and peppers in a savory sesame-ginger glaze that offers a vibrant, umami-rich bite.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Flank steak
1.5 cup Broccoli florets
0.5 cup Red bell pepper
0.25 tbsp Avocado oil
0.25 tsp Toasted sesame oil
2 tbsp Coconut aminos
1 tsp Fresh ginger
2 clove Garlic
0.5 tsp Sesame seeds
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Slice the flank steak against the grain into thin strips and season evenly with sea salt and black pepper.
Mince the garlic cloves and finely grate the fresh ginger.
Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until the oil is shimmering.
Add the beef strips in a single layer and sear for 2 minutes until browned, then remove the beef from the pan and set aside on a plate.
Add the broccoli florets and sliced red bell pepper to the same pan with a splash of water, covering with a lid for 2 minutes to steam-soften the vegetables.
Remove the lid, add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Return the seared beef to the pan and pour in the coconut aminos and toasted sesame oil.
Toss all ingredients together for 1-2 minutes until the sauce coats everything and the beef is cooked through.
Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately.
