Sesame Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry
Thinly sliced flank steak and crisp broccoli florets are flash-seared in a savory sesame-tamari glaze for a vibrant, protein-packed meal.
INGREDIENTS
4 oz Flank steak
2 cup Broccoli florets
0.25 tsp Sesame oil
0.25 tsp Extra virgin olive oil
2 clove Garlic
1 tsp Fresh ginger
1 tbsp Tamari
0.5 tsp Honey
0.25 tsp Red pepper flakes
0.5 tsp Sesame seeds
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Slice the flank steak against the grain into thin, bite-sized strips and season with sea salt and black pepper.
In a small bowl, whisk together the tamari, honey, minced garlic, and grated fresh ginger to create the stir-fry sauce.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat until shimmering.
Add the beef strips in a single layer and sear for 2 minutes until browned, then remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
Add the broccoli florets to the same pan with a tablespoon of water, cover with a lid for 2 minutes to steam-tenderize.
Remove the lid, return the beef to the pan, and pour in the tamari sauce mixture and red pepper flakes.
Toss everything together for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.
Remove from heat, drizzle with sesame oil, and garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
