In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, tamari, minced garlic, and grated fresh ginger to create the glaze.
Season the salmon fillet with the remaining salt and pepper.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and sear the salmon for 4-5 minutes on the first side until golden.
Flip the salmon, pour the honey-tamari glaze into the pan, and cook for another 3-4 minutes while spooning the bubbling glaze over the fish until it thickens.
Plate the glazed salmon immediately alongside the roasted asparagus and drizzle any remaining pan sauce over the top.
