Teriyaki Glazed Salmon with Roasted Asparagus
Pan-seared salmon fillets glazed in a savory-sweet ginger tamari sauce served alongside crisp-tender roasted asparagus spears.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz Salmon fillet
1.5 cups Asparagus
1 tbsp Tamari
1 tsp Honey
1 tsp Sesame oil
0.5 tsp Fresh ginger
1 clove Garlic
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp Sesame seeds
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Trim the woody ends off the asparagus and toss the spears on the baking sheet with sesame oil, sea salt, and black pepper.
In a small bowl, whisk together the tamari, honey, grated fresh ginger, and minced garlic to create the glaze.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and sear the salmon fillet for 3 minutes on one side until golden.
Place the salmon on the baking sheet next to the asparagus, brush the top generously with the tamari glaze, and roast for 8 to 10 minutes until the salmon flakes easily.
Remove from the oven, drizzle any remaining glaze over the fish, and garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
