Garlic Parmesan Breadsticks with Marinara
Oven-baked chicken and parmesan dough sliced into golden strips and served with a zesty, herb-infused marinara dipping sauce.
INGREDIENTS
8 oz Ground chicken (93% lean)
1 large Egg
2 tbsp Grated parmesan cheese
0.5 tsp Garlic powder
0.5 tsp Dried oregano
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp Olive oil
0.25 cup Marinara sauce
1 tbsp Fresh parsley
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, egg, one tablespoon of parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper until well incorporated.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking sheet and pat it down into a rectangle about one-quarter inch thick.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the edges are golden and the center is firm to the touch.
Lightly brush the top with olive oil and sprinkle the remaining tablespoon of parmesan cheese over the surface.
Place under the broiler for 2 to 3 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
Slice the baked crust into even strips and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
Serve the warm breadsticks immediately with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
