Seared Ribeye Steak with Garlic Butter Mushrooms
Pan-seared ribeye steak basted in garlic butter and served with sautéed mushrooms, finished with a sprinkle of crunchy sea salt.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Ribeye Steak
1 cup Cremini Mushrooms
0.5 tbsp Grass-fed Butter
1 clove Garlic
PREPARATION
Pat the ribeye steak dry and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
Heat a heavy cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until it is very hot and slightly smoking.
Place the steak in the dry skillet and sear for 4 minutes per side for medium-rare or until your desired doneness is reached.
Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest on a cutting board or warm plate for at least 5 minutes.
Reduce the skillet heat to medium and add the grass-fed butter and sliced cremini mushrooms.
Sauté the mushrooms for 5-6 minutes until they are golden brown and have released their moisture.
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
Slice the rested steak against the grain and top with the hot garlic butter mushrooms before serving.
