Sesame Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry
Lean flank steak seared until tender and tossed with crisp-tender broccoli florets in a savory, toasted sesame glaze.
INGREDIENTS
8 oz Flank steak
2 cups Broccoli florets
1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
2 tbsp Coconut aminos
1 clove Garlic
1 tsp Fresh ginger
1 tsp Sesame seeds
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Slice the flank steak against the grain into very thin strips and season with sea salt and black pepper.
Mince the garlic and grate the fresh ginger, then whisk them together in a small bowl with the coconut aminos.
Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat with the toasted sesame oil.
Add the beef strips in a single layer and sear for 2 minutes until browned, then remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
Add the broccoli florets to the same pan with a splash of water, covering with a lid for 2 minutes to steam until vibrant green.
Return the beef to the pan and pour the coconut aminos mixture over the top, tossing everything together for 1 minute until the sauce thickens slightly.
Plate the stir-fry and garnish with sesame seeds before serving hot.
