Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a small rimmed baking sheet or loaf pan with parchment paper.
Finely mince the yellow onion so it incorporates easily into the meat mixture.
In a mixing bowl, combine the lean ground beef, egg, almond flour, minced onion, garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, and black pepper.
Gently mix the ingredients by hand until just combined, ensuring you do not overwork the meat which can make it tough.
Form the mixture into a compact rectangular loaf and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
Lay the sugar-free bacon slices over the top of the loaf, tucking any excess length underneath the meat.
Brush 1 tablespoon of the sugar-free BBQ sauce evenly over the bacon-wrapped loaf.
Bake for 25 minutes, then remove from the oven to brush the remaining 1 tablespoon of BBQ sauce over the top.
Return to the oven for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F and the bacon is crisp.
Allow the meatloaf to rest for 5 minutes before slicing to keep the juices locked inside.
