Preheat oven to 400°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Peel the carrots and slice them into uniform sticks, roughly 3 inches long.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, half of the olive oil, half of the dried thyme, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
Toss the carrots in the maple mixture until thoroughly coated and spread them onto one side of the prepared baking sheet.
Rub the chicken breast with the remaining olive oil, garlic powder, and the rest of the thyme, salt, and pepper.
Place the chicken on the other side of the baking sheet.
Roast for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through to an internal temperature of 165°F and the carrots are tender and golden.
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving with the glazed carrots.
