Garlic Herb Butter Salmon with Asparagus
Pan-seared salmon fillet basted in a fragrant garlic-herb butter and served alongside crisp-tender asparagus for a vibrant, low-carb meal.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz Salmon fillet
1 cup Asparagus spears
1 tbsp Grass-fed butter
1 clove Garlic
0.5 tsp Dried dill
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
0.5 medium Lemon
PREPARATION
Pat the salmon fillet dry with a paper towel and season both sides with sea salt and black pepper.
Trim the woody ends off the asparagus spears and mince the garlic clove.
Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Place the salmon in the pan skin-side down and sear for 4 to 5 minutes until the skin is golden and crispy.
Flip the salmon carefully and add the grass-fed butter, minced garlic, and dried dill to the skillet.
Tilt the pan slightly and use a spoon to continuously baste the salmon with the melting garlic butter for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add the asparagus to the empty side of the skillet, tossing it in the herb butter, and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until tender but still snappy.
Remove from heat and squeeze the fresh lemon juice over the salmon and asparagus before serving.
