Classic Beef Burger with Cheddar
Juicy grass-fed beef patty seared to perfection and topped with sharp melted cheddar, served in crisp butter lettuce leaves for a satisfying crunch.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz 93% Lean ground beef
1 oz Sharp cheddar cheese
2 large leaves Butter lettuce leaves
1 slice Tomato
1 slice Red onion
1 tsp Avocado oil
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
1 tbsp Yellow mustard
PREPARATION
Form the ground beef into a thick patty, being careful not to overwork the meat to ensure a tender texture.
Season both sides of the patty evenly with the sea salt and black pepper.
Heat the avocado oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Place the patty in the hot skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes until a deep brown crust forms on the bottom.
Flip the burger and immediately place the cheddar cheese slice on top of the cooked side.
Cover the pan with a lid for 1-2 minutes to allow the cheese to melt completely while the burger finishes cooking.
Lay out the butter lettuce leaves on a plate and place the cheesy patty in the center.
Top with the tomato slice, red onion, and yellow mustard before wrapping the lettuce tightly around the burger.
