Sesame Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry
Thinly sliced beef seared with crisp broccoli florets in a savory sesame-ginger glaze for a vibrant and aromatic dinner.
INGREDIENTS
4.5 oz Flank steak
2 cup Broccoli florets
0.25 tbsp Avocado oil
0.5 tsp Toasted sesame oil
1 tbsp Tamari
0.5 tsp Honey
1 tsp Fresh ginger
1 clove Garlic
1 tsp Sesame seeds
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
0.25 tsp Red pepper flakes
PREPARATION
Slice the flank steak against the grain into very thin strips and season with sea salt and black pepper.
In a small bowl, whisk together the tamari, toasted sesame oil, honey, grated fresh ginger, and minced garlic to create the stir-fry sauce.
Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat until shimmering.
Add the beef strips in a single layer and sear for 1-2 minutes per side until browned and caramelized, then remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
Add the broccoli florets to the same pan with a splash of water, cover with a lid, and steam for 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
Return the beef to the pan and pour the prepared sauce over the mixture, tossing constantly for 1 minute until the sauce thickens and coats everything beautifully.
Transfer to a plate and garnish with sesame seeds and red pepper flakes before serving.
