Return the pork to the pot and pour in the tomato puree along with a quarter cup of water.
Cover and reduce heat to low, simmering for 3 to 4 hours until the pork is tender enough to shred with a fork.
Shred the pork completely and stir it back into the thick sauce.
Boil the chickpea pasta in salted water according to the package directions, then drain.
Combine the pasta with the pork ragu and toss well before serving.
