Sesame Tofu and Broccoli Stir-Fry
Crispy pan-seared tofu tossed with vibrant broccoli and protein-packed edamame in a savory ginger-sesame glaze that coats every bite with a nutty aroma.
INGREDIENTS
8 oz Firm tofu
1 cup Shelled edamame
1.5 cup Broccoli florets
1 tbsp Tamari
0.25 tsp Toasted sesame oil
1 tsp Grated fresh ginger
1 clove Garlic
0.5 tsp Sesame seeds
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Press the tofu for at least 15 minutes to remove excess moisture then cut into 1-inch cubes.
Season the tofu cubes evenly with sea salt and black pepper.
Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add half of the toasted sesame oil.
Add the tofu to the skillet and sear until golden brown and crispy on all sides, approximately 8 to 10 minutes.
Add the broccoli florets and a tablespoon of water to the pan, then cover with a lid for 2 minutes to steam the broccoli until tender-crisp.
Remove the lid and stir in the shelled edamame, grated ginger, minced garlic, and the remaining sesame oil.
Drizzle the tamari over the mixture and toss continuously for 2 minutes until the sauce has thickened slightly and everything is fragrant.
Transfer to a plate and garnish with sesame seeds before serving hot serving.
