Tender flank steak and crisp broccoli florets are flash-seared in a savory ginger-garlic sauce, offering a vibrant crunch in every bite.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Flank steak
2 cups Broccoli florets
1 tbsp Avocado oil
1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
1 tbsp Tamari
1 tsp Ginger
2 cloves Garlic
0.5 tsp Sesame seeds
0.25 tsp Red pepper flakes
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
PREPARATION
Slice the flank steak thinly against the grain and season with sea salt and black pepper.
In a small bowl, whisk together the tamari, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes.
Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Add the beef in a single layer and sear for 2 minutes until browned, then remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
Add the broccoli florets and minced garlic to the same pan with a splash of water, covering with a lid for 2 minutes to steam-fry until tender-prime.
Return the beef to the pan, pour in the tamari mixture and toasted sesame oil, and toss for 1 minute until the sauce coats everything and thickens slightly.
Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately while hot.
