Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Peel the sweet potato and slice it into 1/2-inch thick matchstick fries.
Toss the sweet potato strips with the extra virgin olive oil and half of the sea salt and black pepper on a large baking sheet.
Spread the fries in a single layer and roast for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the edges are golden and crispy.
While the fries are roasting, combine the ground turkey, garlic powder, onion powder, and the remaining sea salt and black pepper in a medium bowl.
Form the turkey mixture into one large, even patty about 1-inch thick.
Heat a cast-iron skillet or high-quality non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
Cook the turkey patty for 5-6 minutes per side until it is beautifully browned and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Place the cooked turkey patty inside the large romaine lettuce leaves to create a wrap.
Top the burger with the red onion and tomato slices and serve immediately alongside the hot sweet potato fries.
