Triple-Decker Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Pan-seared sprouted bread layered with melted cheddar, mozzarella, and lean turkey breast for a satisfyingly gooey and protein-packed crunch.
INGREDIENTS
3 slice Sprouted grain bread
1 oz Grass-fed sharp cheddar cheese
1 oz Part-skim mozzarella cheese
3 oz Nitrate-free deli turkey breast
1 tsp Grass-fed ghee
0.13 tsp Garlic powder
0.13 tsp Sea salt
PREPARATION
Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-low heat and melt half of the ghee, spreading it evenly across the surface.
Place the first slice of sprouted bread in the pan and layer it with half of the shredded cheddar, half of the mozzarella, and half of the deli turkey.
Place the second slice of bread directly on top of the turkey, then layer the remaining cheese and turkey on top of that slice.
Finish the stack with the third slice of bread and cover the skillet with a lid for 2 minutes to help the cheese melt through the layers.
Carefully flip the entire triple-decker sandwich using a large spatula, adding the remaining ghee to the pan to ensure the new side gets perfectly golden.
Press down gently with the spatula and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the bread is toasted and the cheese is bubbly.
Remove from the pan, sprinkle the top with garlic powder and sea salt, then let it rest for 1 minute before slicing diagonally.
