Balsamic-Glazed Brussels Sprouts with Toasted Pecans
Pan-seared chicken breast served with crispy roasted Brussels sprouts and crunchy toasted pecans drizzled in a sweet balsamic reduction.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Chicken breast
1.5 cup Brussels sprouts
0.5 tbsp Olive oil
1 tbsp Balsamic glaze
0.25 oz Pecans
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
0.25 tsp Garlic powder
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Trim the ends off the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half vertically.
In a bowl, toss the sprouts with half of the olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
Spread the sprouts in a single layer on the baking sheet and roast for 20 to 25 minutes until the edges are golden and crispy.
While the sprouts roast, season the chicken breast and sear it in a skillet with the remaining olive oil over medium-high heat for 6-7 minutes per side until cooked through.
Add the pecans to the baking sheet during the last 5 minutes of roasting to lightly toast them.
Slice the chicken breast and serve it alongside the roasted sprouts and pecans, finishing the entire plate with a generous drizzle of balsamic glaze.
