Pan-Seared Salmon with Roasted Asparagus
Pan-seared salmon fillet with a crispy golden skin served alongside tender roasted asparagus spears drizzled with bright lemon juice.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz Salmon fillet
10 spears Asparagus
0.5 tbsp Olive oil
0.25 tsp Sea salt
0.25 tsp Black pepper
0.5 tsp Garlic powder
0.5 whole Lemon
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Trim the woody ends off the asparagus and place them on a baking sheet.
Drizzle half of the olive oil over the asparagus and season with a pinch of sea salt and black pepper.
Roast the asparagus for 12-15 minutes until tender and slightly charred.
While the asparagus roasts, pat the salmon fillet dry with a paper towel and season both sides with garlic powder, remaining sea salt, and black pepper.
Heat the remaining olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Place the salmon in the pan skin-side down and sear for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.
Flip the salmon and cook for another 3-4 minutes until it reaches your desired level of doneness.
Serve the salmon with the roasted asparagus and a fresh squeeze of lemon juice.
