Season both sides of the salmon with the remaining salt, pepper, and the garlic powder.
Heat the remaining olive oil in a high-quality non-stick or cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
Place the salmon skin-side down in the hot pan and press gently with a spatula for 10 seconds; sear for 4-5 minutes until the skin is very crispy.
Carefully flip the salmon and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
Plate the salmon alongside the roasted asparagus and finish with a fresh squeeze of lemon juice over everything.
